Built in 1906 by U.S. Congressman Hannibal Godwin, the house features 12-foot ceilings, a large front hall with wood paneling, fireplaces and rich, and hand-cut oak around doorways and windows. The home – like many of its era – includes a library with handsome shelves all the way to the ceiling.

First, it is immediately obvious upon entering the effort that has been put into restoring this home to its grandeur with all the air marks of a comfortable home. It was the perfect setting for our very special meeting - the selection of our next priest. Then there was dinner. The attention to detail from the table setting, which was beautiful, to the meal, that was excellent, showcased the care you put into preparing for us. We could not have had a more enjoyable meal - from salad to dessert everything was beautifully presented and very delicious."
